Frequently asked questions about our community

Question: What days are Trash Pickup?

Answer:  We have 2 bins for garbage:  A Brown one and a Blue one...

* The Brown one is for all general trash which is picked up on Tuesdays.

* The Blue one was for Recycling, but The City of Deerfield Beach has suspended Recycling for now, so you may use both the Brown and Blue Bins for General Trash.  On Fridays, The City will pick up both.

(Hint:  Tuesday's trash pickup usually comes after noon, while Friday's pickup is around 7am.)

Please put your trash bins out after 4pm on Mondays or Thursdays (any earlier is an HOA Violation).

Please bring your trash bins back into your garage or to the side or back of your house by the end of the day on Trash Pickup Days (any later is an HOA Violation).

* Bulk Pickup is on Wednesdays.  If you have a table or a replaced cabinet or yard waste from trimming your trees or bushes or something too big to fit into your garbage bins, The City of Deerfield Beach will collect it on Wednesday.  If your collection is too big, you will get a tag on your collection warning you of a price for the city to pick up.  (Please do not put it out until after 4pm on Tuesday for Wednesday pick up.  Any earlier is an HOA Violation.)

Question: How can I help in Neighborhood safety?

Answer:  Leave your lamp post lit at night.  Because our community does not have a lot of streetlights, we depend on homeowners to leave their lamp posts lit at night.  (If you would like, you could install a photocell-controlled lightbulb, then you never have to remember to turn on or off your lamp post.  It will come on at dusk and turn off at dawn.

Question: Why can't I park on the grass?

Answer:   Parking on the grass damages the health of the lawn and increases the presence of weeds.  The type of weeds created due to compression from the weight of your car cannot be easily removed. We are trying to keep our community beautiful and not parking on the grass helps us to do that. Also, parking on the grass could damage your in-ground sprinkler heads.  Parking on the grass can result in a fine.

Question: How often should I water my lawn?

Answer:   According to The City of Deerfield Beach, you should water your lawn at least 2 times per week.  Odd Addresses should water on odd dates and Even Addresses should water on even dates.   Lawns should be watered only when watering is actually necessary. Many homeowners rely on automatic sprinkler systems to apply small amounts of water several times weekly. This is detrimental to a healthy lawn. Do not over water your lawn.  When too much water is applied, the roots of the grass do not grow as deep. This means when the water supply is reduced, the grass has less ability to obtain water from the ground and thus, less chance to survive droughts. Too frequent water growth also contributes to the increase of weeds, as weeds will also utilize the water available.

Question: Do I have to register overnight guests parked in my driveway?

Answer:   Yes.  We are trying to eliminate unregistered vehicles in our community, such as renters or air be & bees, which are not allowed in this community.  If you belong here, you need to display your parking decal on your car and register it with the HOA.  If not, your car will get a onetime warning and be towed the next time.  If your guest is parking in your driveway after 11pm, log on to this link and use your Home Passcode to register your guest's vehicle. (If you have lost or misplaced your Passcode, contact our office to get another at clgv2office@gmail.com.)

Question: Is there a place to park guest vehicles when my driveway is full?

Answer:   Yes.  If you need more parking space, you may park at our Recreation Facility (4791 NW 18th Avenue) until 11pm.  If you need more time, you will need to register your vehicles at this link.

Question: If I lose or misplace my key fob for the Recreation Facility, how can I get another one?

Answer:   You will need to make arrangements with the Recreation Facility to replace your key fob.  You can use this link to do that.
